About the artwork

The Terme di Saturnia are a series of natural thermal springs near the village of Saturnia in southern Tuscany. Mineral rich water flows over limestone terraces, forming cascading pools of vivid blue. A popular destination for soaking in the warm water, the pools were nearly empty on this chilly morning as rising steam briefly parted to reveal a lone woman enjoying a quiet early morning dip.
